Journal Allowed to POST- Duplicate Voucher will create problem anywhere

Dear All

My client have scenario to post - Vendor invoice and Payment from single journal.

So i tried to post the below transaction in TEST environment and system allowed me to post

Entries are:

Voucher_5F00_entries.jpg

and entries in GL are duplicate

Voucher_5F00_Account.jpg

Kindly Clarify

    Hi Venkatesan Muthu,

    What is it that you expect or what do you consider wrong from the postings created above?

    The GL entries do not show the accounts used? Can you add them through a personalization of the standard form?

    Can you clarify?

    I have not see abnormal behaviour in the attached picture

    Hi Ludwig Reinhard

    I have posted this transaction from Daily journal(GL).

    In this the vendor account is linked with GL(00-240-00) in posting profile.

    My client wants to post invoice and payment of vendor in a single journal.

    when i tried to post the invoice and payment with single voucher number. System allowed me to POST.

    and while checking the account transaction. in Account transaction it is showing two transaction with single voucher number ..

    Will it create problem

    as of my knowledge , we should not post transaction with same voucher number.

    Now system considered this as two transaction and voucher number is unique.

    will it create problem anywhere...

    I have gone through this post in some blog..

    a.      The voucher number duplicates even after you enter same vendor numbers

    b.      Unfortunately you will be able to post this journal as long as your debits and credits are equal

    c.      Even though the journal posts, issues may arise while running reports or analyzing data

    Hi,

    Would it be an option for you to enter the vendor invoice with a cash payment method?

    This would, however, result in a voucher that does not create an open vendor position.

    What kind of transaction do you record here?

    Why don't you use the AP module for recording vendor transactions?

    In AP invoice journal..AX not allowed me too post this transaction. Because it is searching for invoice number for each transaction.

    So i tried to give two different invoice number and system not allowed me to post with single voucher number.

    So i tried from Daily journal and system allowed me to post

    I see.

    Yet, why you have to post such a transaction?

    What is the business process/requirement behind?
