Processing cards on the road

We have a laptop we need to take on the raod to process sales at conferences. Can MS RMS process credit cards remotely? Meaning away from the main database? We dont want to work in offline mode and have to process the cards later. If the conference location has a LAN line or wireless connection should I be able to run a transaction as normal? If not is it possible to use a wireless card processing machine hooked into the laptop? I cannot find any info on this topic. Any reply would be helpful....

Your right I believe it is working now, I didn't realize you must be working in offline mode. Our Db is on a separate server and "offline mode" doesn't really mean you have to be "off the internet" just means you are away from the Db. So in offline mode the cards run fine and then sync the DB when return home from the road. Thanks!

If you're using the native RMS authorization this should work over any type of internet connection.
