The "Activities Tab" - Questions, questions, questions.

Hi Everyone,

So in a case form (or really almost all entity forms), you can see the conversation tab, and by double clicking you then see the activities tab. This the one that makes up the little feed area in a form where you can post activities, notes, posts, and etc. My questions are:

Can you put some sort of security around these posts? For instance, if I'm in a case and write a post, there is the option for someone to delete it from the case later on. Can I stop this?

Also, the three main areas - activities, posts, and notes are all separated in the tab. Is there anyway I can see these all in the same area - not broken apart?

Thanks!

    Hi.

All posts are saved in POST entity, you can  prevent deleting post, by remove Delete permission from Post Entity for particular security role.

For your another question.. show all activities, posts & notes together.. I don't think so this is possible.

     Hope this will help..

Thanks so much. This was very helpful. One last question - Only some of our CRM users have roles that we've gave them - like salesperson or marketing manager etc... How do I fix this for the users without roles? Or is there a primary role that is automatically given to everyone that uses CRM?

    Thanks again!

CRM will not automatically assign role to user. Either user has role to team has role.

If user doesn't have role, and user is a member of Team and team has role, then user will get all permissions team role.

Also If user has role and user is member of team and team also has different role, then user will get permission from both roles.. combined permissions.

You can see what role assigned to user by going to user record..

    Go to Setting-->Security -->Users

Open user record, then click on managed Role Button shown on Ribbon.

When you open User record you will able to see user teams also in Teams subgrid.

and you can open the team record and check the team role.

You can check same way team role also..

You need to go to setting-->security-->Team and click on Manage Role button.

    Hope this will help..
