Mobile V9/UCI - Dynamics 365 for phones or browser?

Hi,

What's the best approach when instructing users on how to access the new UCI environment through mobile clients?

Dynamics 365 for phones app or browser?

Any pros and cons?

    Microsoft recommends to user D365 For Phones App. 

    UCI can be accessed via browser in the mobile device also.

    Below are some quick pros and cons:

    Mobile - Pro:

    • Accessible via Android & iOS
    • App can access camera if required
    • Offline capabilities

    Mobile - Cons:

    • Needs to be very careful with java-scripts. App might break
    • Some of the controls might not be supported in mobile app (web resources)
    • App is slow
    • Hangs / unresponsive sometimes - based on reviews in play store

    Browser - Pro:

    • independent of OS
    • Same experience like desktop
    • All java-scripts and controls work same as desktop mode

    Browser - Con:

    • No Offline capabilities

    Hi Simon,

    I would recommend you using Dynamics 365 for phones app to access D365 through mobile clients.

    Only UCI environment can be accessed through the mobile clients, web client environmnet does not support moblile clients.

    In fact, D365 can also be accessed through the mobile browser, but Microsoft suggest using Dynamics 365 for phones.
