Creating new record in the list page grid using command button

I am trying to create a new record in the list page grid without using the create form. What I need to do is whenever I press the "New Customer" command button in the action page it should create a new row in the list page grid. The problem I am facing right now is that the command button is not enabled. I have checked the data source properties to see if the required permission to create record has been set.

Did you checked interaction class of the list page?

I did check the interaction class. Do I need to change something in there?

You can explicitly enable/disable control via action class. Also check your button property I guess "Need data" to No.
