Cumulative Shippments

We have a customer that wants to be able to call in multiple orders during the month, and then have one shipment and one invoice at the end of the month. We need the inventory to be allocated to the order/shipper, but stay in our inventory until it is shipped out the door.

I am familiar with the Consolidated Invoice option on the shipper and customer maintenance screens, bur what about the rest of these requirements. Does anyone have experience with cumulative shippers? Are there third party add-ons that are useful?
