Vendor payment using PAIN.001 ISO20022 format in North America

Posted on by 5

This question is for NAV2016. Has anyone had experience in setting up EFT payment with PAIN.001 (ISO20022) format in North America? In the out-of-the-box Bank Export/Import Setup, the SEPACT code supports the format. However, the SEPA codes support only Euro currency as we all know so it can't be used by the end user in North America. Therefore, I was wondering if there's anyone who knows how or has customized the SEPA objects to be used by non-Euro end users? I've found a Microsoft documentation about Norwegian version, for which there's a hotfix for handling PAIN.001 in non-Euro currencies, so it seems possible to leverage the standard objects and create custom objects to be used by non EU countries. Unfortunately, we are not in Europe and we don't have experience in using SEPA in NAV, so not sure how we should modify the objects. I'd appreciate it if someone can provide some insight. Also, we see in the standard SEPACT line of the Bank Export/Import Setup, Data Exchange Definition Code is blank; does that mean it's not needed?

Thanks.

    Hello,

I have never used PAIN.001 format for any of my US customers. You are correct the only Microsoft note about this is related to Norway. It does mention USD but not sure if with work in a NAV 2016 NA version. You might consider sending a ticket into Microsoft via your partner to see if the PAIN is usable in NA version.

    Hello,

This is more a question for partner community if there are existing solution out there. Also note that Dynamics NAV 2016 went out of the support. First supported release is Dynamics NAV 2017 which will also go out of support at some time.

    Thanks.
