Hi ,

I want to achieve below using Dynamics Commerce  :

Step 1 : Want to create Sales Quote from Online Store.

Step 2 : Back-office gets notified for the Sales Quote.

Step 3 : Back-office reviews and approves the Quote and converts to Sales Order.

> Step 2 & 3 are OTB , how to cater Step 1 ? I don't see any web page to enter the sales quote, only user can select products from shopping cart and checkout.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi

By my understand, this is not supported. You can't create the sales quote at online store. What I suggest is if your customer really like the products, they can add them to the Wishlist firstly or cart firstly. Then they can checkout it if they want to buy it.

Sales quote only support POS and HQ.

You want to create a sales quote from the online store.

That is not possible yet in Dynamics 365 Commerce.

I do not know of any workaround to get a sales quote from the online store.

Dynamics 365 Commerce is designed for customers to perform online shopping via e-commerce. I do not see the reason of availability of such a feature in E-Commerce. Please share details of requirement to understand better.

Sales quote is indented to provide by sales team of the organization. If you want so you can give a MPOS or CPOS access to the sales person and they can create quotes for the products customer requested.

Then as you mentioned step 2. and 3 you can perform to convert that quotes into order.

Think about creating an Embedded PowerApp that can submit the data to via CDS.

its a service industry use case, customer is selling auto parts and then services.

We want to initiate an inquiry or quote from online store, that will be received by call center agent and they will respond to the inquiry via call / email.

basically we need to get non-transnational info from online store to the back-office and keep it for record.

    Hello again!

Then I think this is a perfect opportunity for you to leverage the potential of The PowerPlatform and CDS, incorporating and embedded Canvas App with the website.  If you work for a Partner and require further advice or inspiration, I highly recommend reaching out to Chris Huntingford [Partner Technical Architect - PowerPlatform & D365].  You'll find him on LinkedIn.
