General Journal - Workflow

Hello, I am traying to use the general journal Workflow, but it is now working,
What we need is to activate the workflow for the General Journal, I am using the workflow template, but I think i missing some configuration to activate it..

Can anyone help me with the step to review if I have all correctly?

Hi JPB,

Can you tell us what exactly you did set up yourself so far? What is the exact behavior when you mention that it is not working? Do you get error messages? Are you able to submit a journal to the workflow or not?

- Did you create a workflow configuration for the general journal?

- Is the workflow version active?

- Did you provide the workflow configuration on the journal name and activated the approval workflow on the journal name?

- Is the workflow processing batch job enabled and running periodically?

Hi Kevin, Andre Thank you for your answer

Yesterday I was working on the Workflow, I add the template " General Journal Line Approval " And it is working
The problem is , this workflow dont check if the Journal entry is balanced, So I was traying with the otther template ' General journal batch approval " but It is not working,

Please see the imagen below with the configurarion of General Journal Batch.

I have this messages.. now.. and searching how to activate the workflow. It appears as Enable, but I think I am missing some workflow. step..

Which Dynamics application are you using? Your workflow configuration screenshot doesn't look like Finance & Operations.

HI Frank, we are using Dinamics is 365 .

Now I am testing the workflow general journal batch, and with it is working.

With the workflow general journal Line, doesn't work.

But now i have other problem.. The user approval is not working correctly. Unser 1 has as user approver "user 2", User 2 is the approval administrator.. I dont know why when user 1 send the approval request goes to User 3, ( it is the one that use to be the approver administrator.

Any idea will be helpfull

Hi JPB,

Looking at the screenshots you shared, it is obvious you are using Dynamics 365 Business Central. I moved your question now to the correct forum (instead of Dynamics 365 Finance).

Hi everyone, o don't like to leave this topic open. So what I did?
I create a journal entry batch, not a journal entry per line
I set up some conditions , as validate the journal entry is balance and send to a specific approver, now is working GOOD.

The problem is with the serial number, How can I do to update it automatically after the journal entry was approved and not to have to go over the workflow again??
