Duplicate Email Error when tracking Emails into CRM from Outlook

HI,

Our clients are running CRM Online 2015 and all users Outlook connectors work fine except for one. when trying to track an email to CRM the user gets the error: A record with these values already exists. A duplicate record cannot be created. Select one or more unique values and try again.

i realize that this could be quite a common error with multiple solutions.

The user was entered as a contact and a user in the system. So i deleted her as a contact. this didn't help.

i uninstalled and re-installed the connector twice, before and after deleting her as a contact. again this didn't help.

It doesnt occur with every tracked email but seems to be happening more and more.

I would really appreciate some assistance on this.

Thanks,

Jared

    Hi Jared,

Have you tried uninstalling and the connector, running repair profile in outlook and reinstalling the connector?

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Jared,

    * Please verify if there are Duplicate detection rules enabled

    * Also check with another machine if the problem is still present.

    * Verify that you have the latest version of the Outlook installed and configured.

    * Check to see if there any workflows on the entity that you are trying to track.

    Hope this helps you!

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for you Feedback Vijay. i have tried your suggestions and the problem still persists.

Another user is now experiencing the same problem but with the same type of email template, therefore i think this could be where the issue lies.

Could anybody provide with guidelines as far as what the system accepts as far as email content goes?

    Thanks Jared

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I'd be curious to know what fixed it, if anything...

    Hi Chris,

They where running CRM Online. I created a support ticket with Microsoft and after weeks of consulting and trying different things they problem just disappeared. The technician seemed to think that this was due to service on the servers, basically a bug fix.

    Regards,

    Jared
