Delete gl account

i deleted some gl but there are transactions but balance of the gl is zero. The system allowed. Does the system block deletion when there are transactions already? What is missing in the setting that allow that? 

With such deletion, the general ledger entries now appear with multiple transactions with no gl account? Any to put back the gl account in the general ledger entries?

    Thanks for the video. all criteria is met that why I can proceed to delete. but once the GL is deleted when I navigate back to the past entries the GL account become blank and when we run report back dated, the entries are being sum into as No GL account. 

    Do U have such experience?

    Yes, because the system cannot find the deleted GL Account.
    So I personally recommend not to delete, please use the Blocked feature.

    Without knowing the impact it was deleted, any possibility to insert the gl code again or correct it. Although it is zero balance but when navigate it look weird.

    If you have a backup with your old data before the G/L account was deleted it is technically possible but not for an end user.

    I will recommend you contact your NAV partner and discuss an approach with them.

    It needs to be done with attention also to related data.
