Add First name to Lookup Layaway

I need to add firstname to layaway lookup. At the moment it only gives me last name. If someone comes in without a receipt and I need to lookup by name it is very hard as some people have same surname and I have to oen each to find the right one. If I could replace comments or add first name this would solve a lot of my problems.

    You could add a table trigger to the database that would copy the customer's first name to the comment or reference field everytime you create a new layaway.  Then you could just use the comment or reference field as your first name.

    You can use Store operation manager Reports to verify layaway number with customer name in this case

    or build your own database job to update this field automatically after period of time.

    I will have to edit each layaway to add comments. Is it not possible to display firstname of customers name

    You can add a comment be using the Shift-F9  (Details)  key or keyboard combo.  This will allow you to add a reference and a comment to the layaway
