Hi, we are using OPplus in our nav and soon will be usingn f&o. We are planning to remove OPplus in our process, what would be the alternative function in f&o that we can utilize?
Hello Angela C,
Do you refer to this add-on for Nav?

Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi Angela,
OPplus is an add-on which offers some enhanced financial features. I'm not familiar with the exact details. The enhanced features are across several financial processes, like payments and assets. I don't know which exact features you use from this add-on. The financial features of Dynamics 365 Finance are already more enhanced. I would suggest to first perform a fit/gap analysis. Probably a partner can help you with consulting to understand what is available today.
Hi Andre, i think the OPplus does have the extended cash and payments journal which is available in standard. Would you recommend to utilize cash and bank management module in f&o? If i understand correctly there is a bank statement import feature there but I just don’t know if the functionalitiy is enough to mimic/replicate the function of OPPlus. Not familiar with opplus product.
Hi Angela C,
There are various ways how people deal with bank statement imports.
What I see often especially in central Europe is that companies use 3rd party add-ons for handling bank statements.
You can search for those 3rd party add on's yourself here:
appsource.microsoft.com/.../apps
Yes Ludwig, this is the one we wanted to get rid of :)
Hi Ludwig, ideally we wanted to use standard. I just need the closest functionality I guess, then we can enhance that instead of getting a new app.
For which country/region do you want to deploy D365FO?
We have many, EU countries
My experience is that most companies operating in Europe use 3rd party add ons for bank reconciliation mainly because of the identification and settlement of the open transactions.
Let's please wait for other community members to provide some additional comments and insights.
Many thanks,
Ludwig is correct. In some EU countries, the import of electronic bank statements is trying to settle the invoices. In many cases, it can only create journal lines and you then have to settle the lines manually. If you have many payment transactions, an ISV solution could be helpful.
