Mobile device Receiving - over delivery

Hey,

We are using the warehousing app in D365 to do Po receiving. Is there a way to enable over delivery of a PO so that the mobile devices wont stop a user when they try and recieve in additionl quanitity than whats on the PO?

I have set up the over/under delivery on the item and the additional quantity is within the specified percentage. I think where it is stopping it is the registration process. It is not allowing the quantity to be over registered than what is on the PO. Is there a way to allow for the additional quantity to be registered?

I have the same question (0)

RE: Mobile device Receiving - over delivery

    Hello,

I hope you and your family are doing well.

For transfer orders, over and under delivery could be configured as shown below. This may also help to mirror on the PO side.

    Partial transfer orders

Over and under delivery: Allow under and over shipping/receiving can be set up at the parameter level as well as at the item level with thresholds. Open/remaining quantities can be cancelled through the deliver the remainder functionality on the transfer order lines.

    Example: Scenario 1:

Transfer order for quantity of 100, overpick at issue side to send more than originally specified on transfer order, receive overpicked Q

Setup on worker under AWM/workers in work tab - "Allow transfer order over picking" flag set to yes

Setup on AWM menu item under AWM/mobile device menu items - "Allow over pick" flag set to yes

Onhand for item X In warehouse 1 and location Z - enough inventory is there to fulfill transfer order shipping. (E.g. 200)

Create Transfer order from warehouse 1 to Warehouse 2 for a quantity of 100 of item X

Release to warehouse on transfer order form under Ship in Actionpane - Pick work has been generated

Log in into AWM Application – scan work ID in TO shipping menu item

Scan work ID and populate pick location and license plate (if applicable)

Now you have the ability to over or under pick on the right upper corner under menu/over or short pick. (e.g. 110)

    Specify put location and confirm

Work is completed. We no picked 110 out of 100 of the original transfer order

Under All Transfer orders form and shipment details, see shipment details and confirm shipment

The Transfer order status should show now “Shipped”

Review inventory journal - 110 have been shipped (deducted).

The same above works for under picking.

    Receiving side:

Leverage the AWM menu item for transfer order receiving e.g. via LPN scanning.

Log into AWM application, change warehouse to receiving warehouse and scan LPN of shipment.

Confirm and specify pick quantity - here for example, we pick the full quantity (110), you are also able to short pick here if applicable.

    Example: Scenario 2:

Transfer order with quantity of 100, you short pick and ship, receive short picked amount

Same process than above, but after you confirm shipment, one uses the deliver the remainder function on transfer order lines to cancel remaining quantity. Transfer order will be closed out and in received status as fully received then.

    Example: Scenario 3:

Transfer order created for quantity of 100, shipped 100, receive only 80 in warehouse.

Process transfer order receipt via backoffice and leverage the receive quantity and scrap quantity fields on the transfer order lines. Here you would specify 100 in the receive quantity and 20 for the scrap  quantity field. It will create an inventory adjustment and expenses quantity of 20 out depending on posting profile setup.

    Example: Scenario 4:

Receive fully through handheld, leverage Adjustment in and out menu item (first fully receive (adjust out through 2nd step e.g. for damaged).

Adjustment will take place at current cost (moving average) - however will be adjusted after inventory close is run to e.g. FIFO.

RE: Mobile device Receiving - over delivery

    Hello Nakib,

I have the same problem - I cannot register the bigger amount than ordered without breaking it with the app. Have you received any reply from MS?

    Hi Nakib,

I suggest you to create a support request and give as much as possible details (product version; clarify if any customization is used; screenshots and notes, showing your setup and all steps leading to the issue), so this behavior can be further investigated.

    Thank you and regards,

    Lucian

RE: Mobile device Receiving - over delivery

    Hey Lucian

So I am not using loads receiving on the mobile device for the PO I am using purchase order receive and putaway. I have all the other setting set up correctly that you mentioned in sys admin and procurement parameters and I made sure that the over delivery parameters were on the PO that I was trying to receive in.

If I normally receive using only a product receipt the over delivery works without any issues it is at the registration step that it is not allowing me to over register it seems.

RE: Mobile device Receiving - over delivery

    Hi Nakib,

If you are using a mobile device menu item with Work creation process "Load item receiving" or "Load item receiving and put away", there is also the "Load line quantity over receipt" option on the mobile device menu item setup, to control overdelivery.

If you hover the mouse on this option, the below additional information will appear, giving more details:

    Load line quantity over receipt
Choose a policy that controls whether workers are allowed to register inbound quantities that are greater than the load line quantity. Select one of the following:
    Allow
Select this option to allow workers to register the receipt of quantities greater than the remaining unregistered quantity for a selected load. This will only be permitted when the total registered quantity doesn't exceed the purchase line ordered quantity (adjusted for overdelivery percentage).
    Block
Select this option to prevent workers from registering the receipt of quantities greater than the remaining unregistered quantity for a selected load (adjusted for overdelivery percentage). If a worker attempts to do this, the system will show an error and the worker will be prevented from continuing until they register a quantity that is equal or lower than the remaining unregistered load quantity.
    Block for closed loads only
Select this option to prevent receiving against loads with status Received.

The option is also present if you are using a mobile device menu item with Work creation process "Mixed license plate receiving" or "Mixed license plate receiving and put away", if option "Source document line identification method" is set to "Load item receiving".

Please check the setup, as per above.

Also, while you changed overdelivery setting for the Item, the change will not be reflected on the already created PO lines.
So, please check also overdelivery percentage directly on the PO line (expand the Line details fast area and adjust the Overdelivery value on the Delivery tab).

Over delivery is also controlled by option "Accept overdelivery" in Procurement and sourcing > Setup > Procurement and sourcing parameters > Delivery.

Ultimately, please check also if this license key is activated: System administration > Setup > License configuration > Trade > Over/under delivery

    Regards,
    Lucian
