Automatically recording Interactions with Contacts

I read on docs that it is possible to set up the application to automatically record interactions for sales, purchase and service documents etc. if the appropriate interaction templates are set in the interaction template setup.

In the interaction template setup, all codes for all templates are filled in.

But if i make a quote for a contact, i don't see a new interaction with this template code in the interaction log entries for that contact.

What is the purpose then?

If this doesn't work, I think it is better to delete all the 'automatic' interaction templates to make it easier for the  user to select the appropriate template when he wants to add a manual interaction log. Or is there something that I missunderstood?

    Hello,

I just ran the scenario by printing a sales document:

    Docs here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/marketing-auto-record-interactions

What exactly is not running, the interaction is created at my side.

    Thanks.

    - I did the same test for a Sales Order: printed the document having the option "Log Interaction" switched On. But if I look for the Contact Card: Navigate > History > Interaction Log Items, no interaction is created.

    - I did the same for a Sales Quote : No interaction log is created

Interaction Template Setup is filled in with all appropriate Sales template codes

This is in Business Central Online Version

    Kind Regards,

    Kristien

    Hello,

I see what you mean. If you however search for interaction log entries, the interaction is created. I think the filter is preventing you to see the created interaction.

If you want to get the ins and outs of this, then raise a support call.

    Thanks.
