Marketing List using Manage Members, Remove Using advanced find not working?

I have been trying for 24 hours to remove members from a Marketing List using the 'remove using advanced find' .

The query runs fine and then when I select either Remove all the members returned by the search from the marketing list or Remove only the selected members from the marketing list it just sits in transition and doesn't do anything and all I can do is Esc. out to see that the members have not been removed? 

Any thoughts would be appreciated as I need to get this email out ASAP.

    Hi Ally,

    A couple things to check:

    1) Please ensure the list is not locked

    2) Is it pointing to the correct entity? Contacts/Leads?
