Is it possible to change the Customer No. on a service item after having used it on a work order?
We get a validation error and are not able to change the customer:

Yes, you can change the Customer on a Service Item.  The error message is pointing out that you still have the Service Item listed on a Service Order.  There cannot be an open order for the Item when you make the switch.

    Hi Ben,

As far as I can see the service order is Closed-Posted and Finished and al the lines are shipped and invoiced.

So we do not understand why its stil listed.

Did you go to the Service Order listed in the error message?  It is telling you that the Service Item is part of that specific order.  Check the lines and check the Service Lines.

I did check the service line but I do not see a problem with the line.
The product has been shipped and invoiced:

It seems there was an issue with the Ship To Code, after resolving this I was able to change the customer No.

    Thanks for the help
