Incorrect syntax near 'max'

Posted on by 185

I'm attempting an update from GP10 to 2010.  After installing GP and service pack I start utilities and I get this error: CREATE TABLE dbo. (syCompanyImages) (RELD)NOT NULL......

I click ok then I get :ERROR SQL SErver Native CLient 10.0(SQL Server) Line 1 Incorrect Syntax near 'max'

When I type this in to the knowledgebase it auto defaults the error (even before I had ever typed it) and it has 3 different things listed on the side bar, but when I click on them it gives me no results.  It seems someone else must have also gotten this error in the past.

I am using the correct ODBC, and I have everything unchecked.  They are on SQL 2003 R2-is this the issue?  This is included in system requirements so it seems it should be ok.

Thank you in advance for any help with this.

    Hi Tracey,

What is your SQL server version and service pack?
