7I have a client who has a range of customer services users. They are required from time to time to enter in orders (only 5% come in via phone, the rest is via web). They may also need to create return orders/credit notes.
However, they feel that paying for a full BC Essentials licence is unreasonable as the users will only be using a very limited subset of functionality - whereas the same licence in a finance user has much broader use.
They have had a Power App proposed which would then write the data to the sales order (header/ lines) but I believe this is a form of multiplexing. Would you agree?
I have suggested that majority of users could be team members and create Sales Quotes. Then supervisor(s) with full licence can /make Order/. The supervisor would also need to manage credit notes/returns.
Does anyone have an alternative approach? I agree we should focus on the business benefit to make the case (and will do so) but just wanted to get a wider opinion.
