CRM 2015 - Switch SQL Server to secondary (and back)

Has anyone tried this with CRM 2015?

I found this post about CRM 2013 - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699806(v=crm.6).aspx

Basically, we have a mirrored SQL Server and want to test the following:

* Switching CRM to the secondary if the main fails

* Switching CRM back to the main when it's back up.

Thanks in Advance

I haven't done it in 2015 but it is the same procedure in 2011 and 2013 so I think it will work. It's nothing I'd recommend as a standard procedure and IIRC the supported way is to use SQL Server Always On in SQL Server Enterprise.

    Hi,

We have had a few clients setup crm in this way.  Make sure to follow all sql server best practices.  Our recommended approach is sql server always on with sql 2014 or 2012.
