Run-time error '429'

I am trying to edit a crystal report that was used for the previous year.  The only thing I need to change is the year "2011" to "2012" that is set in a text object.  I change the date and apply the modified rpt and get the Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object. Then program exits. I can edit the report back to say 2011 and it works fine.  Is there something that I am missing? RMS 2.0.1000

    Issue resolved, I was using Crystal 2008 when I should have been using 8.5.

    Hello

    I am Faisal Shah and I am using computer for last 4 years, but few days I was facing rintime error 429. I was shocking to see this error when I faced this error.  Last night when I working on my PC, I saw a solution to fix error 429. So I am sharing that solution to all PC users.

     

     

    •     Download Registry Cleaner software and install it
    •     After installation, open it and press Scan button for system’s Registry scan
    •     It will furnish a list of registry issues, repair them by pressing Fix Errors button
    •     Restart system when registry information repairing process finished
    •     You have fixed the error 429 Win 7

    Can someone verify if the solution to fix error 429 actually worked?  I'm in the middle of troubleshooting this and need to be 100% it will work so I don't create new problems!
