Hi,

could the partyNumber in DirParyTable, be linked to more than one?

i mean could two contactPersons have the same partyNumber?

or could one contactPerson and one Customer have the same partyNumber?

in DirPartyContactV3Entity, is it enough to filter on partyNumber to get contactPerson contact info? or do i need to also join the entity to contactPerson table?

A party (a person or an organization) being two contact persons at the same time doesn't make sense to me. But a single person can have several roles, such as being a customer and contact person.

What is the information that you want to get from DirPartyContactV3Entity and you failed to find it there?

    Hi @Martin Dráb,

When you say "a single person can have several roles, such as being a customer and contact person"
Does that mean this person will have one PartyNumber or two party numbers?
how can i create a person and make it both customer and contactPerson in the UI?

Regarding your question "What is the information that you want to get from DirPartyContactV3Entity and you failed to find it there?"
It didn't fail, and i'm looking for electronic address information, but i was thinking if
select *From dirPartyContactV3Entity where dirPartyContactV3Entity.PartyNumber = _partyNumber; is enough?
or do i need to add a join for ContactPerson table?

the answer to this question depends on the answer for the first one, so if u will say that the same person can be customer and contact, and if in this case they will have same party number, then i think it's good to add a join to contactPerson in my select
or will they always have the same electronic address, since they share same party so it doesn't matter?

    Hi,
If a party has multiple roles, the base party number remains the same (which comes from the global address book).

For your second question where you asked about the use of DirPartyContactV3Entity; Do you need to join with the otehr table (ContactPerson), the answer depends upon what result do you want. For example if you want to see the name pf the party/contact you need to join to ContactPerson table, as it never saves the name there. Within the entity you can see joined tables like DirParty and DirPerson that can provide you the party name.
