Search by Vendor Name

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I would like to be able to search by Vendor Name in the Vendor ID field.  We have over 2000 vendors and cannot always remember the number.  I know there is a way to type in the vendor name in the vendor id field without going to the search feature.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

    Staci,

You can request a trial key for smartfill from Rockton for 30 days..  Test it out in a test environment. You can also contact Rockton to validate the compatibility with other 3rd party products..

Do you know if this software works with Multi-Entity Management GP 2015?

Rockton has a tool called Smartfill where you can type in a name in the Vendor ID field and it will pop up with results based on name.

I don't believe there's anything out of the box that does this.  Standard GP you need to click on the Looking Glass then click on the Vendor Name column and then search by name.

There may be other 3rd parties that do this as well.
