Multiplexing or correctly licensed?

Posted on by 5

Good afternoon

Scenario:

Salespeople perform all needed tasks using a model driven Power App. Once the sale is completed, the sales-person closes the case as won and doesn't interact with it anymore.

However, there is a scheduled task in place that picks up any won sale and creates a project in Project Operations. The project is subsequently handled by users licensed with PSA/Project Operations.

Question:

Would this scenario be correctly with Power Apps per app for the salespeople and Project Operations for the project managers.... or does this somehow constitute multiplexing?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

David

Thank you for your reply Ricardo.

Your understanding is correct. There is however the issue of the automated process (scheduled job) that converts the created sales entity into a new project related entity that includes project tasks. Project tasks is on the restricted entity list.  Then the project person continues working with the project.

    Cheers!

    RE: Multiplexing or correctly licensed?

    Hello David

If I understood correctly the question, the Sales Person has it's own license/access granted by the Power Apps per app, while working on the Model Drive App.

That entity is then converted into another type of entity (the Case will still exist, but now a Project is created).

The Project Person that has the Project Operations license then works on this newly created record from a different entity, which is an oob entity for Project Operations.

I'm not seeing any mishandle or misuse of licenses, neither it seems to constitute multiplexing.

    Cheers,

    Ricardo
