hello team

i recently installed SL2015 to one of the client machines but It will load in Form view, without the top menu bar (save, delete, etc.).  You can't PV on the fields or switch to grid view.  You can't close the screen without task manager.

    That sounds like a screen customization, probably that one user has the "Save settings on exit" option and had resized the screen and changed settings. If another user can login and view a normal screen layout from the same workstation, that would confirm the probability of a single user customization. Removing that user's screen customization will fix this login.

    You can look at the CUSTOMVBA table entries for that screen in SQL - SELECT * from CustomVBA where sequence= '500' which indicates an individual user customization. Deleting those records from the table would restore that user's view to a standard screen.

    If you log into SL as SYSADMIN, you can also change the default customization level from SELF to "ONE USER" and select that user. That will allow you to open the problem screen with the user's customizations loaded. After opening the screen and turning on customization mode, the menu gives an option to delete customizations for the current level. That has the same result as deleting records via SQL.

    In either case, backing up the SL System database before removing customizations gives you the option to restore customizations if necessary later.
