How can I hide or show Assign command based on a criteria?

Hi All,
Basically is it possible to have only specific users or roles see the Assign command button.
In my last post here  it has been mentioned that some commands are legacy. Is the Assign command one of them?
I'm sure i can use Ribbon Workbench tool to do this but i'm looking for alternative ways.
Can webresources with javascript be used without using the rules in Ribbon Workbench tool.

Thanks
I have the same question (0)

The Assign command is not legacy.
    • You can hide it for specific users/roles.
    • Best alternatives to Ribbon Workbench are the Command Bar editor in Power Apps or Display Rules (security role / custom JS).
    • Pure JavaScript (web resource DOM manipulation) is possible but not supported.
Do NOT use DOM manipulation with JS (unsupported, may break with updates).
    • Use App Designer Command Bar editor (modern way) or Ribbon Workbench (classic but still widely used).
    • For role-based visibility:
      • Use Enable Rules with ValueRule / EntityPrivilegeRule (in Workbench).
      • Or use a custom JavaScript function that checks

    Thanks Daniyal
I have tried using the command Bar editor in Power Apps and the Assign command options is always greyed out for me (Maybe I'm missing something here).
Can you guide me or provide an example how the below can be achieved (Is the below means using Webreources js)
    • Or use a custom JavaScript function that checks

    Hope my questions makes sense
