    It is unsupported to edit customization file but you can do that following link will help you.

    community.dynamics.com/.../editing-the-customizations-file-in-dynamics-it-s-totally-fine

     You are editing xml file of solution then trying to import it.Export your solution again and import it without changing XML file.
