Do Shared Views take into account Business Units security?

Hi everyone

Do Shared Views in Dynamics 365 take into account any Business Units that are in place?

Our scenario is as follows:

We have 25 separate departments, the users of which are in 25 distinct Business Units within CRM
Head Office staff are part of a 26th Business Unit
Each Business Unit can only see "their" records based on coding within Dynamics, except for the Head Office staff who can see all records

Head Office intend to create Personal Views and share them with various other Business Units. Obviously Head Office staff will be able to see all records in the View, but will the Business Unit security kick in when the View is Shared (i.e. will the other Business Unit users only be able to see their records)?

I think the answer to my query is "yes", but I wanted to see what others say before we go down this route.

Many thanks
Jon

    Jon,

Personal View is just the way to filter the data that is available for a particular user according to their privileges/security rules/BU structure. In other words sharing of Personal View doesn't cause sharing of the data under the view.
