I created a new measure (sum of an amount) of a new dimension I created in the analysis cubes of GP. I want to set a relationship between the new measure with the existing "Master Date" dimension. I want to use the date information in the "Master Date" dimension to only calculate the total sum of the amount for the date selected. But I can't set the relationship.
When I open Power BI and use analysis services as my data source, I look at the model. the screenshot below indicates a relationship between the "Master Date" dimension to existing measure "Sale Detail":
I want to modify the GP analysis cubes so that the "Master Date" dimension has a similar relationship to my new measure (its named "BSSI Billing Frequency"):
Neither measures have date fields, but they are derived from dimensions that have date fields. I was wondering how do I set up the relationship in Analysis services? I can't create the relationships in teh Power BI models because I'm directly querying the analysis services instead of importing.
