How about, I have a query I would like to upload a database (Baseline) to a dynamics 365 FO virtual machine, what steps should I take so that developments are not lost. What steps or how would you do to replicate a 2012R3 environment to Dynamics 365FO
Hi,
If you looking for upgrading your ax version.
Pls check the following link

Thanks
What you are asking is not straightforward process . You have to go through upgrade process(code + data) define in the article linked by Muthukumaran. Its not something you can do by your own , you need a team to perform different activities. What is your requirement ? Do you want to just explore D365 or really want to upgrade from AX 2012 to D365?
Well really what I want is to be able to take that information that I have from the model and pass it to a server in DYN365FO's azure I would like to know how feasible it is to do so or what steps should I take into consideration
Then you must perform code upgrade.
Hi xavieriini,
1,export .axmodelstore file from the AX2012.
2,Create and configure a new LCS project and link it with VSTS project.
3,Using code upgrade tool in LCS to convert the AX 2012 model store to the correct format for D365FO.
Please see the blog for more details.

What is the value of creating the project to proceed with the migration ?
Without LCS project code upgrade is not possible. So the value is that you can upgrade your code.
That is why my question is how much it would cost me to carry out a migration from my own tenant, it should be noted that I already have a test project implemented and I was reading and I can create another project, that is what I would like to know what value it would have to create migrating the development base in my own environment
You can use your existing LCS project. It's completely up to you. The upgraded code is added in the ADO project that is associated with the LCS project, that's something to take into consideration.
My question is, can I really create another project within my lcs and be able to upload that 2012 data in that project and in the case of wanting to modify the project, can I have a return point?
