Connection to the MAPI server not available. Unable to send e-mail or select addresses

GP2016 R2 - 16.00.0620

Using Outlook 2013 64bit without Exchange server. PC has outlook profile but unable to send email.

Have tried registry hack but this did not work.

System Requirements for 2016 says both Office 2013 and 2016 supported on 64bit.

    If you are using 64 bit office without Exchange server, I do not think it will work at all. The solution in my world has been to change the office installation back to 32-bit and it worked like a charm. Simply putting Exchange in the setup if you are not actually using Exchange won't help.

    Hi Simon,

    The blog post you're referring to says it all :

    B. As mentioned in the System Requirements for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 page:

      1. If you're using a 64-bit version of Office/Outlook, in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013, in the System Preferences window (Microsoft Dynamics GP > Setup > System Preferences), the Server Type needs to be set to 'Exchange'.

       2. If you're using a 32-bit version of Office/Outlook, in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013, in the System Preferences window, the Server Type can be set to either MAPI or Exchange.


    As Leslie said, un-install Office 64-bits and put the 32-bits version, and you'll be fine.. or setup your GP mailing to Exchange..
