Announcements
We have developed an ISV module, and we want to add it to the license of a customer that is not ours, so we have to do it through their partener adding it as an authorized reseller in the PSBC, the doubt we have, if the reseller, only assigns it to the customer, and can run it as a client, or he can access the module source code, for example see the source code of the codeunits developed in the module.
This also applies to AL extension. I saw its possible to unzip .app if a partner wants to customize and downloads symbols in vs code.
Thank you very much for your quick response :)
Yes you can do that. The reseller must assign the execute permissions to codeunits and pages + RIMD on tabledata (for inserting records in tables).
This is the first time that we do this, what we want is that the Authorized reseller only assigns the module to the client, and to be able to execute it as the client does, but without being able to access the source code with its development license, that is by example not being able to see the source code of codeunits
We set only Execute permission to codeunits (our core development) is this enough
It depends on the permissions you assign to the license. You can decide if he can modify objects or not when assigning the permissions.
