Help needed with getting reports to work

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 45

Wanted outcome: A report that works.

Symptoms: Not a single report works (no matter whether I use existing or create a new one). Gives error (in Finnish, here's approximate translation): Reporting error. Report can't be shown. (rsProcessingAborted)

Things proving something is wrong: Microsoft Dynamics CRM Deployment Manager on Dynamics CRM server says "Reporting is not enabled", which in turn says "To enable reports, you must first install Microsoft Dynamics CRM Reporting Extensions for SQL Server Reporting Services. For more information, see the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Implementation Guide."

What has been tried already: Updating the Dynamics CRM 2011 to RollUp 10 on Dynamics CRM server along with SRS extension on database server. Both are now RollUp 10.

Questions: Does this Microsoft Dynamics CRM Reporting Extensions for SQL Server Reporting Services need to be installed in somewhere else than in the database server? The Dynamics CRM server doesn't have full SQL Server installed.

Please ask for any additional info that might help to get this solved.

One more thing: I don't get  " Guid should contain 32 digits with 4 dashes (xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx)" type error.

    edit.

I found the way to turn on "full error reporting". Here's more info:
