SSRS Report Parameter Field Duplication Issue

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport

I am using AX 2012, and going to develop a report by class. Now I have create a query with the following table

MianAccountCategory

MainAccount

JournalLedgerTrans

Now when I go select the parameter, its going to duplicate the field as I am going to change some parameter. Can any one have some idea how to fix it, and why its creating copies of parameter fields?

If the report is bound to a query with a range and a default value is specified, the report could be filtered by a multivalued parameter. To avoid this, you have the following options:

Mark the query range parameter as internal in the report design to prevent duplicating the filter.

Override the single filter using a report data provider (RDP) class.

Avoid using queries that contain a predefined query range in reports.

    Thanks Bashir Ahmad,

I have try to add query range, but unfortunatly I am using Dimension account to filter data and in query dimension fields are not available. Secondly its creating problem with dimension accounts only, in normal table fields its going well.

Now I am thinking to use UI Builder and Contact class for parameter. Can you suggest any other option, for this case.

    Dear Nadeem,

I am also facing the same problem. Could you please let us know, have you got any solution towards this problem. This is the issue only, when we use GeneralJournalAccountEntry table in Report dataset Query. Thanks for your help.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Srinivasan,

No, I didn't get any solution. To avoid it, I design the parameter fields by UI Builder, If you need I can provide you the code. If it can helps you.

Thanks Nadeem :) for your swift response. That Multiselect parameter won't help with my issue. Since, the user wishes to filter by range like (001.. 025). This option not possible with Multiselect Filter.

Please share once you found the solution with query filter.
