Connecting to BC Demand Forecast in Power BI

Hi everyone

I have a colleague who created a Demand Forecast in Business Central and I would like to bring it into Power BI. However, I don't know how to do it. I can't find it Web Services (does it need to be published?) or the BC connector in Power BI.

Is it possible to connect to a Demand Forecast? If so, through what methods?

Thanks

Brad

Hi, yes, it is definitely possible to bring the Demand Forecast from Business Central into Power BI, but you’ll need to publish it as a web service first. The Demand Forecast page is not available by default in Web Services, so you or your colleague will need to go to the Web Services page in Business Central and create a new web service using the Page ID or Object ID related to the Demand Forecast (usually Page 99000852 for Production Forecast). Once published, this will generate an OData URL that you can then use in Power BI by selecting Get Data > OData Feed and pasting the URL. From there, you can load the data into Power BI and begin building your reports. Let me know if you need help with the exact page ID or steps to publish the web service.

    Hello,

The api is not standard, you would have to create it from web services or generate a custom api.

    I hope I can help.
