D365F&O Cloud hosted VM not able to open projects in Visual Studio

Good day

We are experiencing problems on the new cloud hosted Development environments for D365 F&O.  The new environments requires us to use the Visual Studio 2022.  Previously we were using Visual Studio 2019.
However now when trying to open an existing project, or create a new project we are experiencing problems.
When we try to create a new project the Finance Operations Project template is not available, and when we try to open an existing Project we get the following error: and it has unloaded
Why is this happening?
How do we fix it?
Is there any documentation indicating additional steps that we might have missed.
Kind regards
Sophia

Please don't forget to verify the answer.

Also, please create a new thread for your new question, which isn't related to the topic of this thread ("not able to open projects").

Martin Thank you for your response.  We changed the value in the Project file and it was now able to load.  However if we try to Build or Rebuild the solution we get the following error.
Even when we  try to cancel a build some way we keep getting this error.
Is there something else that needs to be done?  We have lost so much time looking for solutions.

    Hi Jonas
Is the Dynamics 365 menu available under Extensions?  : Yes it is available
If so, can you check if the ACCRecSec model is available under Model Management?  : Yes it is available.  But when we try to build it gives the above error.

The logical next step would be following what the error message told you: Please see the Output Window for details.

I'm assuming that you'll find a message complaining about Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Tools.BuildTasks.targets or Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Tools.BuildTasks.17.0.targets. The former was used by VS 2019, the latter is used by VS 2022. You can open the project file (.rnrproj) in a text editor and change the value; you'll find it at the end.

    Hi Sophia

Is the Dynamics 365 menu available under Extensions?
If so, can you check if the ACCRecSec model is available under Model Management?
