New GP2013 Cash Receipts Entry Fields are Unavailable

Posted on by 85

In GP2013 a few new fields have been added to the Cash Receipt Entry window, an Expiration Date field, and an Authorization Code field, but they don't appear available, and there is no documentation on how to enable them. There are no settings in Receivables Management, in Company options, or anywhere else that would be logical. It doesn't matter what type of cash receipt you're posting. If you're working with a credit card it doesn't matter if you're using a charge card or a bank card. Nothing appears to enable these fields. The training manual for RM for GP2013 has screen shots which show the greyed out fields, but no mention of how to use them (see page 2-31 of the RM training manual for GP2013). The fields appear in both SP2 and R2, not in GP2010. There are no New Features documents about these anywhere. Has anyone had any luck enabling these fields?

RE: New GP2013 Cash Receipts Entry Fields are Unavailable

UPDATE: I've found similar fields on the customer card, under options, which are available, but that information does not flow to the cash receipt entry. You can specify the card type, card number, and expiry date, but there is no authorization field. After I've provided the credit card information on the customer's card, the authorization code and expiry date are still unavailable on the cash receipt entry. Any ideas out there?
