view record owned by me and my reporting structure

Hi,

User 1 and User 2 are from same BU and both have security role that has read and write at user level for a custom entity "Timesheet" and "time entries"

User 1 is assigned as manager for User 2 and hierarchy security is enabled with manager hierarchy and depth 3

When User 2 submits a timesheet, User 1 is expected to view User 2's records as he is the manager.

Issue: User 1 cannot view User 2's record. Can you please suggest how this can be fixed?

Thank you,

I haven't worked with that functionality so I can't guide you here.

Hi Andrew, does enabling manager hierarchy not give read and edit access to the manager for all his reportee irrespective of read at user level? Thanks!

    Hello,

One solution is to create a separate role for "Manager" and set read privilege for "Timesheet" entity to "Business Unit".

Another option - automate sharing of timesheet records with the "Manager".
