Excel Export issue in ax

Hi Experts,

I need your efforts here to resolve issue. I'm trying to extract data from ax to excel. After extracting of customer or vendor transaction into excel, (credit/debit) both values are showing positive in excel. The correct excel should have credits in Negative and Debits in positive.  Kindly give me some idea to find out the solution and root cause.

Thanks in advance and Regards,

Vignesh

    Hello Vignesh,

I do not see this issue in AX2009. Can you specifiy what data you export and from which report/form?

    Many thanks,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I'm extracting data directly from Customer/Vendor transaction form using export to excel button.

    Many thanks for your reply.

    Regards,

    Vignesh

    Hello Vignesh,

I just tested that and get the minus symbol in front of credit amounts. Here is what I see.

    Hi Ludwig,

In excel, it is showing all amount value as positive. But if i copy paste value from ax to excel, amount value is coming properly.

if i use export to excel button, Wrong output is coming in excel.

    Thanks and regards,

    Vignesh

    Hello Vignesh,

If it is acceptable then a workaround would be marking all data with CTRL + A (for All) and then copy and paste those values to excel where you obviously get the right signs (+/-) in front of the data.

If this workaround is not acceptable then you need a developer taking a look at this issue because AX2009 is already out of support and you won't get any hotfix or support for this old system from MS.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I have tried with CTRL+A(for all) but few rows only copying from grid while pasting into excel.

    Regards,

    Vignesh

I have an old note in my file - see this link - the site is still active.

This is one of three problems mentioned and there is a suggested code fix.
