Hi!

We use Inventory picking and I find this is a undeveloped part on Business Central. The picking list has much more to proove and the picking report for printing is almost useless. Much information is missing (i.e. Name of customer and Freight agent) and the columns and headers are just a mess.

Anyone who have already prepared a more functional report?

Though I don't disagree with you. The purpose of the picking list it to pick only, not to prepare for shipping. Therefore the reason the slim amount of information is not on the report.

I do see many users print the sales order.

Adding to Kim's feedback. I also find many BC reports undeveloped. We probably customized many of them and I heard the same from other companies as well.

To do this you have a few way:

1) Learn to do it but sometimes you may came a across missing field then you need a developer to add it to report for you docs.microsoft.com/.../ui-how-create-custom-report-layout

2) Ask your partner

3) Use apps such as following that make it much easier

Frida,

The document Picking List is for picking Items to be stage for shipment. You could create a Custom Report Layout to expand the report but I think you are looking for a Picking List by Order or Picking Instructions.

I solved this issue by asking the developers of SweBase app to make a picking list to complete their other report templates. And they did, so i am so happy now!
