Upload Fixed asset transaction error - via Excel add-in AX 2012

Dear all,

I tried to use excel add-in to upload the Fixed asset transaction (tables: Ledgerjournaltrans and Ledgerjournaltrans_Asset).

When i published the file, there is an error message:

Table Ledgerjournaltrans_Asset: field 'reference' must be filled in. But i cannot file this field name for this Table.

Could you please help to advice this case?

Best regards,

    Hi Thu Ngo,

Filling the Ledgerjournaltrans_Asset won't work without making a system modification.

I once tested that and described it here: dynamicsax-fico.com/.../excel-add-in-enhancements-2

This modification works fine if you have a limited number of fixed asset transactions that you want to upload and post. If you have a lot of fixed asset transactions better use the Import-Export-Framwork.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Thank you so so much, your posts helped me a lot!!

It looks like General journal is suit well for Excel add-in.

But i have several questions as below, could you help me explain?

    1. When i upload several journal (multiple debit - multiple credit) one at time, AX could not split the Voucher correctly

-> is there any way to solve it?

    2. There would be some rounding issues when validating the vouchers,

-> is there any way to avoid?

    3. If i have multiple account structures active (let said: Expense account structure, Balance sheet account structure and Revenue account structure), and my transactions require Expense account structure, Balance sheet account structure

-> Is it possible to up load?

    Best regards,

    Thu Ngo,

    Hi Thu Ngo,

    For 1:

Delete the voucher and upload it again. That is possibly the fastest way to get this fixed

    For 2:

You have to ensure that your Excel data are rounded to 2 decimal places. Format your numbers differently in Excel

    For 3:

The Excel Addin should be able to handle that.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Thank you so much, i tried "None" for Default Account structure and it works fine.

    Best regards,

    Thu Ngo,
