Good morning Everyone,
Over the past couple of weeks, I have been encountering a problem with the OData service, and I am curious if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. I am going to use the Posted Sales Invoice page for my sample, but this is happening for me anywhere where there is an expansion column. It happens in both Excel and PowerBI.
Basically, when I go into Edit on a query, I can scroll across to a column that has an expansion button. In the screenshot below I chose the SalesInvoiceLines column.
Regardless which column I choose, I get a message that no columns are found. It takes varying amounts of time to get to no columns found, but always gets there. If I cancel that and click on the Table link directly (in the same column) I get the following error message:
DataSource.Error: OData: Request failed: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request. (Cannot process the request because the default company cannot be found. You can specify a default company in the service configuration file, or specify one for each tenant, or you can add a query string in the form of "company=[name]". You can see the available companies by accessing the default OData web service, Company. For more information, see "OData Web Services" in Help.)
It goes on to list the URL it is using to try and expand the column, which does not include the company name (which the parent OData query does include).
This used to work, as I have built a number of reports this way in the past. Unfortunately, I need to refresh them with the new URL after switch to BC from BE so I'm not sure if they would still be working right now.
Anyway, I am hoping it's not just me and that someone else has a resolution or work around?
Cheers,
Rod
