GP 2013 Budget ID's not appearing

Posted on by 75,730

When I go to Cards->Financials-Accounts and pull up an account and then Budget when I click the lookup button on Budget ID, there are several budget ID's that do not appear. When I look at the GL00200 table these budget ID's look like ENC##@@###Y2014. All the other budgets ID's are there. Why do just these Budget ID's not appear in the lookup window.

    Richard,

I ended up having some other issues with Encumbrances so for now I turned it off.  Once I did this it removed all of these budgets.  I am going to copy the production company to a Test company and turn it back on and see if it creates these again.  I had issues with GP locking up when I turned it on and I am wondering if this created the budgets.

Thanks for the quick response.  FYI we are on GP 2013 SP2.  I will post again after I do some testing.

The issue we had was a known bug with an older version of GP. Do you have access to SSMS? I had just gone into the GL00200 table and deleted records that began with ENC. I can send a script later today when I get back to my office.

    Richard,

Did you ever get an answer to this question?  I have a new client using Encumbrance and we did not have this issue when we were doing testing but in the Production company I now have 3 budgets with the ENC##@@###Y2011, 2012, 2013.  Can you provide the SQL scripts you used to clean this up?

    Thank you,

    Nancy Schafer

Does any out there use the encumbrance module for GP who could shed some light on this issue? From what I can see the encumbrance budgets feed off the GP budgets but I cannot explain why on a PO if you cancel line items, this then gets turned into a negative encumbrance. Is this a bug? Plus the only way I was able to remove them was to run scripts in SQL. Is there a screen in GP I can go to to make these corrections properly?

I can see where this is being created by Encumbrance Management, but we have a problem with four GL accounts. In the GL00201 table they have a negative BUDGETAMT amount. In the budget associated with these accounts there are no budget amounts entered. So we are trying to determine from where these amounts are coming. Is there a screen in Encumbrance Management where you can sete budget vakues per GL account?
