Send email when a workflow has been completed

I have a workflow that creates both a Project and a Contract (custom entities) whenever an opportunity is closed as won. I then want to send out an email to the member of the team responsible for Projects that a new record has been created, and do the same thing for contracts. Can I create a workflow that sends out and email whenever a contract/project is created? Or does this not work for records created from a workflow?

    Hi.

    You should even be able in the same worklow to add an additional step at the end to send a mail.

    Or you setup an own workflow for that purpose, which triggers on create of a project or contact. In that case you could even add dynamic values to the email body.

    Hi,

    There are two ways you can do this:

    1) Add workflows that fire on create of the Project and Contract record.

    2) Send two emails from the main workflow (i.e., create a project then send an email). If you can't get to the new project lead in your principal workflow, you can install Workflow Elements and use the activity "Emails - Add Recipients from Query" (kaskela.wordpress.com/activity-add-email-recipients-from-query)
