I have a customer where we have created an app in D365 Sales with restricted access to entities and made it available for users with a PowerApp plan 2 licence. The users also got an security role in D365 that only give them access to specific entities. This works fine for the app but the users can also access the "365 Dynamics - Custom web UI" from the menu with access to all entities with CRUD.
We only want the users to access the app we have created and not the custom web UI. How can we achieve this?
It can't be correct that users with a PowerApp plan 2 license are able to access the Custom web UI with access to all entities in D365? Have we missed something or is this how it's supposed to work?

If you do not have any users on 365 Dynamics - Custom, you can hide it for all users and you can control which roles have access to which apps.
Hiding Default App for all roles.
Role based access to Apps
Once other thing you could test is to create a new Environment (CDS) using Plan 2 and check the solutions. If its a CDS environment, it should not have the 365 Dynamics - Custom installed.
I am sure this is not a default functionality, if you have provided proper access within the CRM app then it will honor authorization principals.
