GP webservice: dynamicsSecurityConsole: when selecting applications > Security Service I get this error:

Could not access the SecurityService service. Access is denied.

Also when I try to access Dynamics Webservice Exceptions Console > I get an error

Cannot access the exception service. Verify that the configuration file exists and contains the correct path to the exception.

How can I resolve these errors? and where do I find the webservice service to make sure that is running?

    George,

Here is KB support.microsoft.com/.../924548 link. This may help you.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks

I have the same issue when I install the web service on a new server. Everything works fine for the user who logon to install the webservice. However, when I try to use another user to launch the security console (I added the user with super user role to all companies), I see the same error.

Looked at the KB you suggested, Seems like none of them applies:

Solution 1: URL http://<host name>:48620/DynamicsGPWebServices/DynamicsGPService.asmx does not work for me. gets HTTP 400 Bad Request

Solution 2: Launched IIS, no website or virtual directory is created on the web service server

Solution 3: No invalid character in the database

We have GP 2010 SP3 installed.

    Any other suggestions?

We fixed the issue. We didn't add the user to the security administrator list.

    - From Security Console, right click on the 'Microsoft Dynamics Security', and select 'Define Security Administrators'

    Charly,

Did you ever find a resolution to this?  I'm having the same issue and can't find any resolutions online, everything looks good except the .asmx URL.

    Thank you!
