Error on Federation metadata URL validation while enabling IFD on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 server -

Hi Team,

We are following an article by Niran Belliappa for enabling IFD on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 server - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/niran_belliappa/archive/2014/01/16/step-by-step-configuring-crm-2013-internet-facing-deployment-ifd.aspx

We are currently stuck on : Step3: On the Specify the security token service page

After entering the Federation Metadata URL found on the ADFS server's DNS console, it giving us the following error - The federation metadata URL 'xxx.xxxxxxxxx.com/.../federationmetadata.xml' is not available.

However, we are able to open the same federation metadata URL in IE.

Any pointers, from where this problem might be coming?

    Thanks for your reply Bilal.

    Regarding this issue, we are now unable to replicate the issue once again since we are starting the process of enabling AD and install CRM server from the scratch.

    However, I still worried if the issue occur again.

    I remember while trying to browse through the federation metadata URL in IE we had a security warning and after clicking on Continue to open the website, we were able to get to the page which displays some XML content.

    I will post further updates on this thread. In the meanwhile, if there is any suggestions then please let us know.

    Hi Naveen,

    You get an error while configuring Claim Based Authentication.

    I suggest you post a screenshot of the result of federation metadata URL when you browse it through IE.
