A new payroll system will be used in 2016 therefore an upgrade of GP2010 was not approved. We need to produce 2015 W2s from GP 2010. Will the GP2010 W2 process run without a year end update? What will we need to do to produce the 2015 W2s? I'm seeking advice. We've built a 'custom' process for 2015 ACA reporting. There must be a reasonable way to produce the 2015 W2s from GP2010 after the last pay period of 2015. Any advice?

Fortunately the bulk of YE changes this year are ACA related, and it sounds like you have that covered. For the actual W2 printing you may want to consider using a 3rd party product that can receive your W2 data in a .xls format or something similar.
