While year-end closing of GL I'm getting a warning "The total sort segment length is over 128 bytes.

What is the GL segment structure and length being used on this company?
Hello Imad,
Are you using Multicurrency? Are you using any third party or VS Tools products, anything responding to the YE closing procedure?
Dexterity itself has a limit to the storage size allowed for sorts. When you combine all of the sort fields you cannot exceed 128 bytes.

Yes I'm using Multicurrency. I'm not using any third party or VS Tools.
Nothing is displayed when clicking on Sort button on Account Format window.

Are all of the currency IDs assigned to your retained earnings account?

There was only one currency not assigned to the retained earnings account.
I assigned this account and ran year-end closing without problem.
