    Hi Pii,

Check the setup at Organization administration > Setup > Document management > Document management parameters.

Visit technet.microsoft.com/.../dn636897.aspx for more information on configuring document management.

    Thanks,

    Priyanka Agarwal

The latest link is a description for AX4, but for sure has also the key to your solution. You need to add a new registry value on the AOS server.

The standard is 4 MB. If you change the value in AX, you get an warning that you have to expand the MaxRpcSize, but it does not tell you how.

1 Start the Registry Editor on your AOS machine.

2.Open the following registry key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Rpc

3.Add a new DWORD value named MaxRpcSize to the key.

4.Give the MaxRPCSize parameter a value of 0x00500000 (5 MB).

    5.Close Registry Editor.

    hi,

can we increase it to 10 or 20 MB?

what would be the parameter value? 0x02000000?

    thanks

    Hi all,

I want to know how to find if the maximum size of file that can be attached will be 4mb? Please let me know how to check MaxRpcSize for AX 2009 with Windows Server 2008 os.

    Thanks,

    Hima.

I am also facing same issue when i am trying to upload a larger file greater then 4 MB  its giving me Max. File size exceeded error . I have tried directly from rich client but same error . Then i have increases the file size in Organization >  Document Management > Document Management Parameters to 20 MB . I have  also added DWORD  Value "MaxRpcSize"  in registry file HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Rpc  but after that error message changes to "Your Microsoft Dynamics AX session is no longer valid Log off your Computer and Log On again" .

Hima , You can find it in registry HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Rpc\MaxRpcSize. If it not exists then you need to add it manually .
